1978 – 1979: Medical Officer and then Director of the Healthcare Service at the Gruppo Autonomo Specialisti Varie Armi (G.A.S.VV.AA.), Piacenza.

1983: promotion to Lieutenant.

1992: promotion to Capitano Medico. 2010: promotion to 1st Capitano Medico.

1977 – 1986: General Practitioner at the Parma Local Health Authority n.4 (ASL).

1979 – 1981: Doctor for the Out-of-hours Medical Care Service at the Parma Local Health Authority n.4 (ASL).

1981 – 1986: Director of the Occupational Medicine and Environmental Hygiene Service at "R.B.L. - Riello Bruciatori Legnago", Legnago (VR).

1983 – 1989: Assigned to teach courses on First Aid and First intervention for work-related accidents and acute poisoning at the Postgraduate School of Occupational Medicine, University of Parma.

1986 – 1987: Assistant Professor of Occupational Medicine at the University of Parma.

From 1988: Officer for the Criminal Investigation Division with functions related to the service.

1990 – 1996: 11° level Director of Occupational Medicine.

1990 – 1996: Managing Director of the Preventive Medicine and Occupational Hygiene Service at Fidenza’s Local Health Authority n.5.

1996 -2000: Head of the Occupational Safety Consortium (CDS – Consorzio di Servizi per la Sicurezza del Lavoro) Healthcare services in Emilia Romagna.
