The Clinica San Francesco is a reference point for treatment and operations of musculoskeletal apparatus diseases. The physicians of this ward feature a long-time experience and keep themselves constantly updated on scientific and technical innovations, collaborating to the carrying out of studies and the introduction of new orthopaedic surgical and cutting-edge procedures.
Particularly, the Functional Unit of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the end of 2010 was the first in Europe to introduce the Mako “Rio Robot”, or rather currently the most innovative, precise and minimally-invasive system for replacement surgery. The introduction of this technological innovation made the facility a specialized Clinic for knee and new hip operations.
Painless postoperative courses and constant control
Every patient, after operation, follows a complete course; from diagnosis to the end of rieducative phase, always under careful guidance of physicians, nurses and physiotherapists.
A particular attention is dedicated to prevention and care of postoperative pain. The “Hospital without pain” is one of the principles behind Clinic physicians and one of aims during the patient’s stay time.
The surgical services can be provided under ordinary, day hospital or outpatient system with the Italian Healthcare System or private.
